I drive a convertible and I use the above car seat along with the padded car vest harness.
Very rarely do I drive with the top down with Lucy in the car (only in town on small streets) but if you are going to make sure she doesn't have any lead in the seat (strapped in tight) since should you (God forbid) roll the car her roll bar will protect her from hitting the pavement. I'm too nervous with the top down but I love this car seat because it's high enough for her to see out and let the wind in her face with the window rolled down...
