If it has reached the level of dragon breath you need to take him to the vet. Not only can it be something like tartar build up or gingivitis, which can cause tooth loss, if left untreated (just like with humans) it can affect other parts of the body. Bacteria can enter the blood stream and spread to the heart, liver or kidneys. Preventive care can add years to your dog's life.
