I also keep a kiddie pool out. If i think Layla is too warm i dunk her. It is usually luke warm but it cools her body down. Layla is NOT a big drinker so i try chicken broth mixed with water (straight up is too much salt i think) or apple sauce frozen.. or on a SPECIAL day... yogurt that i have frozen
