Just shave (or have your groomer shave) the entire ear, inside and our as clos as possible with a grooming clipper and if at all possible a #40 blade. Your groomer will know what thet means, lol.

ha ha... i just so happened to be a groomer

i did shave 1/3 of the ear, but i will try your advice and take a little more off
