You may want to start w/ just letting him smell and play and lick on his brush/comb....then gradually work your way to using it...even if it is just a little at a time. You can also incorporate a training treat while brushing etc. I also use a spray conditioner when I comb/brush to help w/ any tangles.
It may take awhile...just like anything else...nail clippings, etc. Give it time.
LilyGrace does not like the scissors...so, I like her sniff and lick them (closed), etc - give small treats (we like Yorkie Yummies), etc. She is coming around.
