So last night was my daughter's school Spring Extravaganza. They did really well...between the raffle tickets, silent and live auction, they managed to raise $140,000.00!
Well, they started the live auction off with cakes. I've never participated in a live auction before and thought I'd have a little fun. I never expected to win. I thought someone would outbid me and I'd walk away...nope...not this time.
God must have known what I had in my pocket because what I brought ended up being what I paid!
Now, my cake was the prettiest...and cheapest!
The first cake went for over $500...the last cake (a chocolate with chocolate covered strawberries) went for $1,200!!!
They even auctioned a 7 day, 6 night cruise (valued at $7,000) for $12,000!!!
At least DH wasn't mad.
