80 dollars per view for xray is what I'd expect to pay.
So, no more than about 300 (plus the cost of treatment).
An ultrasound would be more.
There is no way a vet could know it is pancreatitis without testing, especially if the dog hadn't just eaten something excessively fatty. I would test because pancreatitis can be life threatening. Ellie has had it and it is not fun. If that is the case, food would need to be pulled and your dog might need an IV.
I'd go to another vet today if that is what you think it is.
