We have a little girl that was born pretty much as you described in your original post, only in her case it was both legs. I could tell when she first crawled that something wasn't right. I waited to go to the vet until we had the tails docked (at 3 days) . She said the bones were more like cartilage at that point so let's wait until her first shot for an x-ray. Well, I did as she said and when the x-ray was done she had twisted femurs. By that point she looked to the eye like she has severe luxated patellas and the vet said there was nothing to be done for her. We kept her (Bijou) and today she is the happiest little girl you will ever meet. She will be 2 years old this July and doesn't let her handicap get in her way. Last December I had a chance to speak with a vet that is an orthopaedic specialist and he said there was a chance her condition could have been lessened had her legs been wrapped to coax them to straighten out while the bones were still soft. It's too late for Bijou but with your little baby maybe there is hope if she is seen promptly by a specialist. Don't expect miracles but if the condition can be lessened at all it will benefit your baby. Do not wait. There is a small window of time available while the bones are somewhat pliable. I do hope for a good outcome for your little one.
