so far,, the best working one i had was a Free one out of a cereal box!! Frosted Flakes,,lol, but ,, it died,, where i walk here is a half mile for one round,, and when i walk the church track indoors,, i know how many laps for a mile,, so i've bought myself a tally counter to keep up with my laps,, but for steps,, nope,, cant find one to work,, so far,, same with all the ladies at Curves who've tried different ones,, we keep trying!
