Our little Ally is ten months old and she has a tendency to run anytime she is not on a leash. She sometimes sneaks out the back door and we go chasing after her wherever she decides to run. She has no idea what to obey is when she is running like that.
My question to you all is – do your puppies run like that? How are you able to coax them back to you once they start running? The only way we are able to keep her close outdoors is to have her on a leash. Are we overacting or will she grow out of this?
I would really appreciate you comments and suggestions. Tell me how you handle a situation as I have described it.
I am scared to death that Ally will sneak off and run away of worse get hit by a car if she makes it to the street.
