I Totally agree - while I don't think ALL breeding should be stopped ...there needs to be limits on how many litters a breeder can have - there's just too many people throwing 2 dogs together these days
I don't mean just yorkies - it's all breeds. When people think they can make easy money - many do and most of them have NO freakin clue to what they're doing to the population of pets - which has exploded.
Our shelters are FULL. ALL THE TIME.
I used to be a member of the PETA org and while they're a bit WAY out there and extreme - they've done ALOT TO HELP ANIMALS.
They may be controversal but I think in the long run their goal is to help animals. The bad press may be true but overall in the BIG PICTURE - they really do get out some serious messages and educate people who really don't know what's happening in our country.
Same with the HUMANE Society - everyone screws up - we aren't perfect but in my opinion - they too CARE about animals.
If we didn't have these orginazations the pet population would be even WORSE than it is now - the animal testing would be WAY WORSE and many many more dogs/cats and other animals would be put to sleep .....
