It took me 4 times of opening that picture to see what "friend" you were talking about. What I actually saw the first time I saw it was what appears to be a "sasquach" type of thing right behind the cardinal.
Then... I realized I needed to scroll my screen OVER to see the lizards...
so now everyone open it back up and look at the "sasquach" type of form behind the cardinal
