That's what I was thinking, the beginnings of leather ear. Usually only dogs with a silky coat get it and sometimes it is brought on by being in cooler temperatures. Teri Shumsky suggested A1 All Systems Tea Tree Oil and Lotrimin 1%. It sure worked with my little guy that came to me with leather ear.
