You are not purchasing a dog from a reputable rescue like you do from a breeder and most reputable rescues have a 501K so it is tax deductable.
Yes, sorry to say, some people have turned their breeding practices into rescue or have trolled the pounds to make money off of rescue. This is no different than unreputable breeders who are doing the same thing. Life has some pretty nasty people out there that will use animals to their advantage. In regards to not finding many Yorkies in pounds/animal shelters is because many of these organizations know they would not survive in these conditions and would rather the dogs went into a reputable rescue where they have a chance to survive and be placed into the best home for the rescue.
Rescue is never the right place to go to get a cheap rescue but the place to go if you believe in saving a dog. |
Very Informative post...
I very much respect the true reputable rescues that are doing it ONLY for the good of the animals. Not for $$...thats just wrong...
But you know we all have to live with the things we do in life...
And answer for it someday .
So I hope most are doing it for the right reasons.
