To me, it's more than just great voices/talent. Whose albums would you really buy? David A has an amazing voice, but I honestly don't know that I would buy his album. While there have been many great ones, and I've downloaded a few isolated songs, my only album purchase has been Daughtry. I WILL buy David Cook's.  And possibly Michael Johns'.

I have Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," and I really like the album. I've also downloaded the single Miss independent. However, I never saw the first season of American Idol.
I also have Daughtry's singles: Home and It's not over.
But that's it.
