That's terrifying. I'm so glad he seems to be OK.

My advice now that it's over is to try to get him back into his normal routine. He may not want to go to the park, but you should gradually get him back there. If he acts upset, try not to baby him. Act normally.

My guy was traumatized when we were attacked by a moose a winter or two ago. In the days and weeks afterward, he would get to the park and start pulling to go home. I felt so sorry for him that I would turn back and not make him go to the park. But it didn't seem to help. He only got worse. So I started forcing him to go just a little farther each day. Eventually, he gave in.

But you'll know best what to do for your pup. Sometimes the "don't baby him" advice doesn't go over very well. You'll know what's right.
