I put Neosporin on a cut on my chi and then not only put a bandaid on it, i then wrapped it in the self sticking gauze and then taped the top to his fur. This helped it from slipping off. It made like a boot/sock. The tape on the top really helped. The cone/coffee filter for his head might help prevent licking.
Oh, you may want to put a little Hydrogine peroxide on it first to wash out the cut so there isn't an infection. Just get ready to blow on the boo-boo!
