I use a spray conditioner every day when I brush the pups. It leaves them smelling so nice, too. Try to start with short sessions and work from the back, sorta like you would get tangles out of your own hair, work it from the ends. Someone said you could put a towel over their head to calm them, but that doesn't work for mine. He is very wiggly and does not like to be brushed. You also might want to use a harness and leash to hold him still. Also, a really good dog food can help the coat as well.
I shave bronx, he does not like to be brushed and is a handful. He looks very cute and is very soft. I leave his head and legs long. (but I do have a beautiful girl who lets me brush her and fix her hair) |
