How about a gift certificate for dinner and a carpet service? How often do you bring your little one for visits at your sisters? If she lives close to you maybe you can trying dropping him off for like an hour or so as many times are you can do it to get him more used to being there and he will know you are coming back and then when you go on vacation again bring him for a nites stay a day or two before you go on vacation....
