Kennel Cough does go away and come back. Trust me when I first got Abby she had Kennel Cough about 5 days after I got her. The vet gave her a series of shots for the next 5 days (Luckily my friend is the vets assistant and she came to my house every night after work to give her shots for 5 days and it went away and reimbursed her for gas tho...) But thank God it went away. I will ask my friend what the shots were. She was only 13 weeks when this happened and she did not get any side effects from the shots. Good Luck!!
