You've now shown the pet store they can make money and they in turn continue to buy from the millers who in turn now realize they can make money and so it goes. Let me ask you guys who think that's doing a good thing - what happens when you buy all these dogs that need saving. Do you not think they will be replaced with more dogs that need saving. If the pet stores realize that people don't want to support mills by buying and they stop buying it will put some of these places out of business. To continue to buy will only tell them they are making money and in turn they stay open and continue to sell to people who think the way you do and they will continue to buy to replenish they stock they sell. Yes, puppies to them are stock. And if you think I'm too harsh then maybe you should visit one of these places and see for yourself what these dogs endure day after day. And, Melanie you made comments about "Seeing my posts" as if you didn't like what I had to say. I find it interesting that you've only been a member for what a month and yet you seem know my posts. Wow is all I can say. A whole month and you know a lot. Wow.

As far as the original poster - she bought a pup from a pet store. Did she know better or was she just misinformed? I guess we really won't know because she was jumped on rather then educated and that's a shame because educating is the only way to fight places the mills.

Elaine (mom to four rescues - one of which was beaten by a miller and 4 yrs. later still suffers the effects)

Any one can look up all your posts and see what you have to say. No rocket science there....

As far as pet shops go, I understand what you are saying. And for the most part I agree with you. I went to a breeder the second time around because I didn't want to go back to the pet store and give them my money or chance a pup that could wind up sick. I learned from YT about pet stores.
How ever... Every one has the RIGHT to decide for them selves weather they are saving a pup or adding to the problem. IMO the answer is both at the same time. No one deserves to get jumped because of how they feel. Yell, scream, and kick your feet, you can not change how people feel nor should you try.
You seem very angry and have a huge chip on your shoulder... it is not your place to tell people how to FEEL or THINK. Educate them and then leave them to their own choices.
I'm not trying to be mean here, but when you get upset with people you will NEVER reach them, just drive them away... Like the OP.
