I feel the same way. I don't like the language of the pledge. What they could do is to let everyone know exactly how to identify a puppy mill. They're painting with a very broad brush and all those signatures could be used to push for legislation that would probably be short-sighted and put unreasonable restrictions on good breeders and still not stop puppy mills. They will still exist but will be made to hide their operations. This could make it worse for the dogs, if that's imaginable. I think education and awareness is the answer and shows like Oprah's will at least make a lot of people aware though that show alone isn't enough to really educate people but it will probably draw the biggest ever for the subject. Hey, it's a start. and all animal lovers should do their part, too.
