I would think prayer requests would be okay. You can pray or send good thoughts to whatever higher power you believe in or don't believe in as the case may be.
I may be wrong, but I think the problem has to do with people putting down or posting negatively about each other's political party affiliations (who they plan to vote for) and moral value beliefs (such as controversial topics such as sexuality, right to life, etc...) Maybe I have it all wrong, but that's my take on it.
