For those that think that buying a puppy from a pet store is saving them and not keeping puppymills in business then I think you should watch Oprah tomorrow. Buying that pup you feel sorry for because he needs a home is only creating a vicious cycle. You've now shown the pet store they can make money and they in turn continue to buy from the millers who in turn now realize they can make money and so it goes. Let me ask you guys who think that's doing a good thing - what happens when you buy all these dogs that need saving. Do you not think they will be replaced with more dogs that need saving. If the pet stores realize that people don't want to support mills by buying and they stop buying it will put some of these places out of business. To continue to buy will only tell them they are making money and in turn they stay open and continue to sell to people who think the way you do and they will continue to buy to replenish they stock they sell. Yes, puppies to them are stock. And if you think I'm too harsh then maybe you should visit one of these places and see for yourself what these dogs endure day after day. And, Melanie you made comments about "Seeing my posts" as if you didn't like what I had to say. I find it interesting that you've only been a member for what a month and yet you seem know my posts. Wow is all I can say. A whole month and you know a lot. Wow.

As far as the original poster - she bought a pup from a pet store. Did she know better or was she just misinformed? I guess we really won't know because she was jumped on rather then educated and that's a shame because educating is the only way to fight places the mills.
