My hubby is so upset about turning 40, which he will tomorrow. I think it is so funny, I turned 40 in January and it didn't bother me at all. He was the same way when he turned 30, but this 40 thing is worse. My sisters wanted to give him a dinner, but he has told us on more than one occasion that he doesn't want anything done for his birthday, he told me that I better not spend any money on him for his birthday. He said he doesn't even want my mom to cook for him, which she has done in the past a few times. I mean he is really upset about this, we are just supposed to act like it is a regular day. I bought him a card, that I will give him tomorrow but that is all. Just wanted to know if anyone else's husband acted this way when they turned 40. |
LOL - my hubby was the same way - wanted no acknowlegement at all. Friends wanted to do big parties for him at 30 and 40 both and I had to say no both times. 50 was
much better. He's mellowed so much in the last few years. Thank goodness.
