And my family bred basset hounds for years...I've been there to assist and whelp myself several litters.
Then my mentor let me whelp several litters of yorkies and other small breeds before I EVER started breeding on my own, and I researched all this for over a year before fully deciding to do it. I have also whelped litters for friends when they were out of town or didn't know what to do....so this is not a new thing for me. Yes, MY yorkie breeding is fairly new, but not my experience. I haven't said anything about all this before, because I really never felt the need to bring it all out...and even now I don't know why I am defending myself...
