Mini, who weighed 2 pounds 5 ounces was spayed. The vet gave her a pain management injection that she said would last 24 to 48 hours. She didn't give her oral pain meds because she said with the little ones, it tends to make them throw up. She said if she showed signs of pain the next day, call and they'd give me meds. Mini never even whimpered or made any signs of pain, even when I'd pick her up. I thought she said she also gave her an antibiotic shot but I can't find it on the vet bill but I don't understand all the codes on the bill. At any rate, I didn't have to give her any medication after I brought her home. She's a tough little girl.

I totally understand what you are going through. When I'd think about getting a sad call, I'd stop myself and visualize them calling and telling me "Mini made it through the surgery and is doing just fine. She'll be ready to go home at 5:00."

Think only positive thoughts.
