Default !

I know how you feel. Pippa got away one time when she was about 7 months old-ran out of the house and straight into the street. We live in a busy University neighborhood. My heart was beating out of my chest and I'm almost screaming at her to come back. Of course she thought it was a game and was darting around IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET! I was nearly having a heart attack-and for sure I was having a Panic attack. She must have thought, "I'm not going back to that wild-eyed mommie!" Everytime I went toward her, she would run. Thankfully when a car came, she stopped and waited for me to catch Pippa. Thank goodness it wasn't one of those people that come roaring down the street fast!. Since then we've taken Miss Thing to obedience classes and work with her at home. She's pretty good with coming when called now and seems to be a little more mature about not getting in the street. I'm working on the "drop" command with her and plan on doing the same with Scout. It can save their life! I'm glad disaster didn't strike with Sailor!!
