I don't know how I missed this thread but I am just now seeing it. You and Jinny are in my prayers. I know how terrifying this is.
Almost a year ago, A.J was attacked by my BF's parents black lab. We had went there to visit, just gotten out of the vehicle with A.J and their dog almost immediatly, with no warning dove and attacked him! He kept shaking A.J...Blake had to tackle the dog just to get A.J out of his mouth! It was horrible. Luckily, A.J wasn't seriously hurt, just 3 lacerations on his front shoulder. But, to this day, he still winces if we touch the scars.
Spend every minute possible with Jinny, show her how much you love her and keep reassuring her that everything will be alright.
