when I got her I went to the ladies house on a Wednesday and wasn't supposed to take her until that Friday....well hubby and I went there ( we were just dating at the time) and we saw her and we could NOT leave her, they left her outside all day on the porch by herself....I live in Fort Myers it gets to 100+degrees here!!! there were two other large dogs next door who i think terrorized her and she was infested with fleas. they also tried to groom her themselves and on her front right paw was a huge piece of flesh showing almost like the cut her with a straight edge it was about the size of a nickel..thats huge on these babies and it took forever for her to let us touch her paws, they adv that she indeed was potty trained....yea right!! LOL poor girl ruined the carpet in our old condo!! now she is very trusting of us and is such a great girl to have in our home!!! but that is her story rags to riches, now she's a spoiled furbutt who I'm certain loves life, she's our baby!!!!!!
