I bought rounded scissors and I do trim the eyes... I hate when hair pokes them in the eye. Chewy was very hard... he would move all over. It took months to train him to hold still... Sadie never moves much and is easy.
You can hold your dog by the chin hair... to hold it's head still. That is what I
will do, or hold the back of his head... Either works with my dogs but they are not moving and used to me holding them this way. Point the scissors away from the eye... Not toward it. Go slow, and let your dog sniff first... Rub the scissors on their face closed a few times to show how it feels and let them realize it won't hurt... Best of luck!
