I personally don't cut any hair on my dogs at all. If you want to grow a coat you will have to persevere with the hair around their eyes. Once you cut it you might have a problem with it growin in right.
On the other hand, if you are going to keep her in a puppy cut it might be ok to cut the hair around her eyes. I would leave it to the professionals though.
