Good for you. By all means, go home at lunch time and, if possible take the time and get him to the vet. I know we all have obligations but remember he has been taken from the only world he knows and is frightened. For whatever reason, he doesn't feel comfortable or he would have been eating by now. Bonding with a new puppy is critical, some take longer than others. If I'm reading your post right, the poor thing is probably in a weakened state from not eating and now he's in a strange house all alone. I know you want what's best for him but put yourself in his shoes and you can imagine how he must feel. For his health, you must get over this hump with him. Best of luck to you.
