Everyone has scary dog stories We live on a very quiet street. There are only about 6 homes on the whole street and everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. We do have a pit across the street that likes to bark at Kaba but is never let out of the fenced in yard so for the most part I'm okay with him. (I do worry about him climbing the fence, I"ve heard too many stories).
Unfortunately, two doors down has two yorkies. They have a fenced in yard for them but I think they let them out of the yard so they can go to the bathroom and they don't have to clean it up. Really ticks me off because they poop in MY yard and until recently, Kaba had issues with eating poop!
Anyway, when we are outside with Kaba or even without her, they will run up and be very aggressive. They've come running up to us, teeth showing, growling and barking and it always scares the crap out of me. The last time they came around, Kaba was closer to them than me and they chased her a short distance. Of course, she came running towards me to protect her and they stopped short. I worry what they could do to her. Its really the one thats more aggressive than the other one and he/she's definitely a "teapot". Kaba is only 4 pounds and doesn't know what "mean" is.
My husband gets the water hose out every time we see them and they try to attack us and he sprays them down. But it doesn't seem to do much really.
Why can't I have peace in my own yard? And why can't they leave their dogs in their yard?! Seriously... |
