i just checked my bottle of Torbutrol and it is a 5 mg tablet.
My Yorkie weighs 5.8 lbs and her dosage was 1/4 - 1/2 tablet every 6-8 hrs.

If your dog is only 3 lbs a WHOLE tablet is way too much IF it's a 5 mg tablet. Check the mg that it is on the bottle.
