Well, I still haven't found this little guy's owner. I spoke to the animal shelter here and the lady there told me that the particular area he was found in is notorious for BYB's.....and that it's pretty likely that he was being used for a breeder, and just got out going after some other dog that was in heat

I have a feeling she may be right.
I noticed when I was clipping some of his hair after I bathed him the other day that he's still got his dew claws. So it seems like someone who cared enough to dock his tail so he looked like a typical yorkie, but didn't want to spend much money on him. Or it may be a cultural thing too, as she told me that it's mainly Hispanic in that area. I know the area is nearby, but I'm just not familiar with it since I pretty much stay in the few towns surrounding me or go up to N. CA.
I guess the sad thing is, is that nobody's looking for him, or so it seems.
My dh is having fit b/c he's marking (I'm getting a bellyband from a member here, but it's not here yet, and I've been trying to clean everything up as quickly as I can. It has caused a lot of stress to me b/c my dh is not a very compassionate person. And ANY change throws him into the dark side of his bipolar state. Just kidding. I'm in a bad mood over the way he's being about this baby, as if it's the dog's fault.
Anyway, am going to be taking him for his vaccinations and have him neutered when I can (he has to have been missing for a month before I can consider him "MY" dog, and I don't want to neuter him unless I can't find the owners; it's not fair).
I think once the bellybands are in use, things will be a little calmer here. We'll see. I'm just trying to keep my composure and do what's best for everyone. Unfortunately, my dh likes to decide how things really are (like I wanted another Yorkie so my friend and I 'schemed" this whole thing and I'm really NOT trying to find it's owner and I'm LYING to him, which just infuriates me
). But he's out of here tomorrow for the week, so I'm just keeping my trap shut!
