You have got yourself some kind of dog. ( It is a funny story ) Sounds like she is very smart and does not like to be left alone, even for a minute. Maybe she needs to be around people all the time. You must be soooooo stressed-out! Your husband must be very understanding to let you keep the shepherd this long.
Do you have some place in your News Paper to put a add in about the shepherd, maybe someone can help.
I would be worried about your Yorkies. If something would happen the them it would be heart breaking.
