I'd like to know more, too. Lucy was scooting the day before I took her to the vet. I thought she might have a "dingleberry", so I cleaned her rear with a baby wipe and she didn't do it any more. The next day is when she was trembling.

My vet did a full blood workup and everything came back fine. She palpitated her tummy, checked her temperature, checked her gums and teeth, and the only thing we could come up with was the full anal glands and she's been fine since then.

How often do they need to be expressed?
