My goodness. Everyone is right!! You, my dear, are a saint!! And even after all of what you've been through - to be able to still show sooo much compassion for the big houdini! It truly warms my heart. I agree with all advice. She needs a lot of specific things in her environment for her to be happy. You know that she's not happy as she's destroying things. That is not the sign of a happy (or balanced, as Cesar would put it) dog.
You are at a turning point. You've made the first and hardest step (I know, I've done it) in deciding that a change is in order. Now it's simply sorting through the options that are best for her.
