LOL....that's cute; Ellen made the food. She recently bought into the company and is now one of it's owners, but she doesn't actually make the food.
I don't know anything about the food itself but I know Ellen loves her animals and I'd trust her pretty much. I do know there was a site that I went to that had quite a bit to say about the food itself and the quality of it so I guess I'd just look at the ingredients.
