Oh, I guess your right; some are suggesting putting pepper on the poop. This would be an aversion technique. Dog eats poop, dog burns mouth, dog learns not to eat poop. I wouldn't have too much confidence in this method because a dog could learn to differentiate between peppered poop and unpeppered poop pretty easily, they have wonderful olfactory senses, and furthermore some dogs might even like the hot sauce.
