When I used to show in AKC, Canadian KC, and United KC I had a few litters. I always spayed or neutered before the pup left my home. I sold a couple of pups as show dogs with open registration, but they had to get their CH. before being allowed to breed them.
Your contract is only as good as the buyers word. I have even had a dear freind let me down...
