Meeka and Bella are both pad trained. They kind of feed off each other on training. I reward them when they go on the pad (Even now that they are totally pad trained I still reward them when I see them go) and when they would go anywhere else but on the pad and I caught them in the act I would sternly say no and bring them over to the pad immediately. It was a long process but they have it down now (Although if I give them total and free run of the house they will always go downstairs and potty all over my carpet so I block off the stairs for downstairs and let them have the upstairs to themselves.)
I am not sure about moving the pads though, when I started pad training them I have always kept it in the same spot so they didn't get confused. I would think that just by slowly moving it would be less confusing than just moving it far all in 1 day. Good Luck!! |
