Just wondering if anyone has any tips that WORK on preventing poop eating. Dixie just started eating poop last week and we've tried pineapple and changed treats, but it's not working. We went to PetSmart to get Deter but the lady there said that doesn't really work that well. My dogs are all on California Natural Food...and from all research I've done, that is a very respectable food so I don't think it's because of "cheap "corn filled" food", which I have also been told causes poop eating. At first she was just eating Presley's poop...not her own, or Tawny's. BUT....today I caught her eating her own..YUCK YUCK YUCK. What can I do? I am afraid to put "hot sauce" etc (which has also been suggested to me)...to make it taste bad because she is so tiny (2.9 lbs). I don't want her to ingest stuff like that. BUT I don't want her to eat POOP either!!!!
We try to pick it up as soon as anyone poops...but we are not home all the time and we can't be on constant poop watch. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
