does the food contain chicken?? some dogs (Layla included) are VERY allergic to chicken.. the only issue with telling your vet about this is they might want to put him on meds... and a lot of things can be solved without meds... we were able to figure out that Layla can't have wheat, chicken and dairy. However, had we gone to the vet they would have probably wanted to put her on a steriod. however, you might want to mention it and just let them know you are aware it might be food allergy and are working on figuring that out, but do they think it could be anything else.
