I don't think you are crazy at all!

Last year we had to have our 20 yr old Bichon put to sleep. As she got older she spent most of her time sleeping in mom's room, with the door shut so the other dogs wouldn't bother her. Everytime I would walk down the hall, I would go in and check on her, and sit down with her and love on her for awhile. After she died it took me a few weeks to break the habit, everytime I walked down the hall out of habit I would reach for the door knob to go in and check on her, then I would catch myself and realize she wasn't there.

A few weeks after Poppy died, mom started letting Schatzie sleep in the bed with her, and my habit went away and i haven't done it in a long time. Well lastweek when Schatzie was at the vet, three times that day I would be walking down the hall and reach for the doorknob, its been almost a year so by now I should be used to not doingthat. But I think while Schatzie was gone for the day, Poppy was popping back in just to say hello. I felt her prescence when I did go in the room.

So yes, I think our babies do pop in from time to time to say hello and let us know they are still very much with us.
