I was also wondering how you taught your furbabies to crawl or sit up/beg? I tried to hold the treat above his head to get him to go up on his back legs, but he wasnt working. Is that how you guys did it? Thanks for you help!! |
My little man is always crazy when I try to teach him commands always wiggling and stuff so I decided to teach commands on my couch first. That way he cant wiggle to much and stay in place instead of running around lol The commands I taught him on the couch was play dead and beg. With beg I would sit him on the couch and then put the treat up near his nose and if he wouldnt try to beg then I would gently pick his paws up while he was sitting and tell him beg and then give a treat. If he wouldnt do it right I would correct him and then give a treat. It took a while and then it worked. After that I moved to the floor knowing he wont be running around like a maniac
because he already knows the command.
Same thing with play dead. I told him to lay down and then moved him on the side and made him stay still for a few secs while saying play dead and then give a treat and after a while he was doing it himself
