Wow! He is tiny (and so cute!) Welcome to YT!

I have 1 yorkie- Olivia, who will be 6 months this week. I bathe her once a week. You'll be able to tell when your yorkie needs a bath by their coat- it will start to look a little greasy.

I've heard that cooked eggs and chicken are okay for yorkies. However, since your baby is so tiny, I don't know if that changes things. I give Olivia chicken as a treat everyone once in a while. I would definitely recommend free-feeding Nemo. If you want to be sure he's eating for the first couple of days, you could leave food down for him and hand feed him as well. I feed Olivia Natural Balance; she loves it.

If Nemo's structure is that of a 2.2 lb. dog, I would say you don't want him to gain weight just to get him fixed. You want to be able to feel a dog's ribs- if you can't, that means they're overweight. If he's underweight, as your vet said, I would find a high-calorie food and switch him to that for a while. I know puppy food is high-calorie, but I'm not sure if it's okay to give that to an older dog.

The leg-lifting is probably just because he is not nuetered- it doesn't necessarily mean he was used for breeding. I vaguely remember hearing the minimum age from AKC is more like 17 months for a stud, but I may be wrong. Definitely get a belly-band.

We have many wonderful members here that will be able to give you much more information. Congratulations on your new little guy!
