I would do them both at once so they can rest together.
These are the things I would do/want to know:
Preop bloodwork done and I personally would do a bile acid test before their first surgery (some people believe doing bile acid testing is going overboard though).
Surgery must be done on a heated surface (toy breeds lose body heat quickly).
Pain meds must be offered.
Isoflurane or sevoflurane anesthesia should be used to maintain but usually something else is used before intubation.
If the dogs need to stay their overnight, someone needs to be there the whole time, awake with them.
