No, a bile acid blood test would need to be done.
Usually the dog is fasted 12 hours (overnight).
A sample is taken.
The dog is fed.
Another sample is taken 2 hours later.
The 12 hour fast protocol has now been changed and less emphasis is being put on it. I think a 6 or 8 hour fast would probably be fine (since she is so small).
